Homemade Laundry Detergent

Homemade Laundry Detergent

 Ingredients:

1 box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
1 box Borax
1 box Arm & Hammer Baking Soda *(look at photo as reference for sizes of boxes)
1 regular container of Oxi Clean
2 Fels-Naptha Bars (grated and then blended in blender or food processor)
2 containers of Downy Unstoppables (any scent)
(I used Shimmer for this particular batch I made)

***A few helpful hints before beginning to make your Homemade Laundry Detergent***
*Make sure to grate and blend Fels-Naptha Bars very well before adding to mixture - otherwise you will have little pieces that will be left on your clothes after they are done washing.
*Use a HUGE bowl! - regular mixing bowls are too small. You could use a toy bucket or plastic bin/tub...whatever you can find that will work
*I use a small plastic bin with a removable lid. I purchased it at Wal-Mart for about $4.00
*The Oxi Clean scoop from its original container works fine if you want to use that as your detergent scoop.

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in one large bowl and mix well until all  ingredients are well incorporated. Then put into a few smaller containers for easy access when you are doing laundry.

Washing Instructions:
Use 2 Tablespoons of homemade detergent per load of laundry.
Fill up washer with water first, add detergent and then add clothing items.
This is what your finished product should look like. :)
